Mongolian Chicken

Mongolian chicken

It doesn't much better than this. Mongolian chicken is nearly the perfect Asian recipe. Many of you are probably familiar with this dish because of Mongolian Beef. I would consider this dish to be sweet ,salty and spicy. I wouldn't call this recipe totally authentic as it tastes much different from a lot of monglian chicken I have had. However, I might even go as far as to say its better. I recommend deep frying the chicken to ensure it is crispy . Do not hesitate to taste it. RM 8.00 for one dish~

Mian Fen Guo

Mian Fen Guo

The main element of Mian Fen Guo is made from plain flour and water. All hand kneaded without the usse of a rolling pin or the addition of oil eggs. In Papa Cafe, they don't skimp on portions, this was a big bowl of food. Be sure to request a small side of freshly chopped hot "Chilli Pepper" drowned in soy sauce to complete the overall experience. Be it Malay, Indian, Chinese ; all Malaysian food require a chilli "Hit".
The delightful and intensely flavoured soup was good enough to savour and do away with any credibility anout the origins of the dish. Use a pair of chopsticks to had a cute bite on it. Enjoy the smell of ikan bilis and the fried onion. If you're cursing under your breath, I can understand that . RM4.50 for one dish~

Today's Special- Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken

Nasi lemak
Nasi lemak has been called the unofficial national dish of Malaysia. It's name is a Malay word that literally means 'rice in fat'. The name is derived from the cooking process whereby rice is soaked in rich coconut cream and then the mixture steamed. Sometimes knotted screwpine (pandan) leaves are thrown into the rice while steaming to give it more fragrance.
Traditionally, this comes as a platter with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, hot spicy sauce (sambal). Nasi lemak can also come with any other accompaniments such as chicken, cuttlefish, cockle, beef curry (beef stewed in coconut milk and spices) or paru (beef lungs). Traditionally most of these accompaniments are spicy in nature.  RM5.00 per Dish!!!!!!
